Why We Set Limits
The CASHBATE Home Solution is an incentive offered through participating contractors for qualifying cosmetic updates. Clear limits keep the process simple, avoid unnecessary work, and ensure updates are aligned with a successful sale.
How It Works In Practice.
Every home is different. During the pre-qualification visit, a participating licensed contractor evaluates the home and identifies which cosmetic updates make the most sense for market readiness.
The CASHBATE Home Solution focuses on the most important update first, then considers which additional cosmetic updates may fit within the solution value. If an essential update falls outside the solution value, that portion is clearly identified and handled separately by the seller.
Example 1
Kitchen Refresh
(Fully Included)
The seller's kitchen was dated but required only light cosmetic updates. Everything fit within the base solution value.
Included under the CASHBATE solution:
- Kitchen refresh (cabinet painting, backsplash, hardware).
- Cosmetic updates selected during the home review.
- Vetted and trusted local professionals from the CASHBATE-approved network.
- Show-Ready Essentials
Seller-paid update: None – the updates were fully included.
Result: A refreshed, move-in-ready kitchen that appeals to a wide range of buyers and supported a higher appraisal value.
Example 2

Example 3
Interior Painting as Anchor,
Plus Carpet Replacement
During the pre-qualification visit, whole-home interior painting was identified as the anchor update to maximize marketability. Seller also wanted to modernize the dotted hall bathroom, which went beyond the base solution value.
Included under the CASHBATE solution:
- Full interior paint in neutral, buyer-friendly tones.
- Cosmetic updates selected during the home review.
- Vetted and trusted local professionals from the CASHBATE-approved network.
- Show-Ready Essentials
Seller-paid update: Bathroom refresh with new vanity, mirror, faucets, updated light fixture, and caulking.
Result: A bright, freshly painted interior combined with a modern bathroom, creating a strong first impression for buyers and supporting a higher sale price.
Most homes also receive Show-Ready Essentials, a set of light cosmetic updates that help homes photograph better and feel move-in ready. These may include minor wall repairs, light professional cleaning, cabinet touch-ups, small bathroom refreshes, and entryway cleanup. The exact scope varies by home and is finalized during the pre-qualification visit.
Examples shown are illustrative. Final scope and eligibility are determined after the pre-qualification visit and review. All work is performed by licensed and insured contractors.
